With nearly 20 years of experience, I provide individual, couple, and family therapy, taking time to get to know each person or family’s unique needs and goals in the therapeutic process. I strive to create a supportive, collaborative environment, where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered in their growth.
My work centers on supporting those impacted by trauma, highly stressful experiences, grief, and loss. I also have extensive experience supporting those involved in or affected by foster care and adoption, as well as individuals navigating life, transitions, relational challenges, and communication or conflict resolution difficulties. I am committed to being culturally responsive and attuned in my work with those I serve, including honoring the role spirituality may play in their lives. I believe there is significant value in recognizing the whole person – considering relational, spiritual, emotional, and physical contributors to our struggles and in turn to our healing and growth.
I am trained to work with all ages (from birth through adulthood) and draw from several clinical approaches in my practice, including Internal Family Systems (IFS, basic training), Brainspotting, and Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP). I am also trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
I am an approved supervisor for Clinical Trainees in Minnesota. I so enjoy the opportunity to support the development of providers as they work toward independent licensed practice.
